I finally decided to change my recording set-up. In order to do something before, I had to move a huge rack on wheels from my bedroom to my living room (I’m living in a small flat…). And had to deal with speakers, headphones, several power supplies and wires, four guitar effect pedals, a preamp, a soundcard, a high-end digital converter… Just have a look :

Now I’ve just got that new soundcard from Metric Halo, plugged into and directly powered by my macbook computer :

And that’s all… Simplicity… and I made some recording tests, and the sound is absolutely great. So, no more boring set-up.
Quite important for now I’m at my dayjob again and don’t have the time I had before… Just have now to organize myself and let the music flow… Does it mean I have a new project in mind ? well well… stay tuned…

And unless you already played, don’t forget to enter the CD contest (and tell your friends… well, tell not if you expect to win, of course…). It’s close to its end… Five days left…
Have a nice week-end.

A Dark Shape is probably my darkest “Untimely” song. A story of ghosts at night. An oppressive one. I’ve been a little bit doubtful when I decided to choose it for introducing the album, but I’m quite glad of this choice.
This is the third video MariaCristina and Roberto worked on, after City Lights and Invisible Birds. Three wonderful gifts. This video is dark and beautiful, it really fits the song. I especially love the end, when guitars and mellotron strings rise.
I was also doubtful for choosing the picture for the “Untimely Tales” website. Here is the alternate choice :

Enough pictures shot by me ? Don’t miss the stunning Azahara ones !

Texture. And a haunting, vintage and melancholic mood. Pictures inspired my music and lyrics, and it’s always a pleasure to find and share beautiful images.
I met Azahara, from Spain, through LastFm, and, beyond sharing musical tastes, discovered her amazing gallery.
